Seniors are thriving!  February is National Senior Independence Month and the perfect time to embrace ways to help our loved ones feel confident and stay safe. Whether at home, living in a senior community, or visiting a senior center, there are activities that can enrich the lives of our loved ones and engage their passions and creativity.

Exercise and physical activity are ideal ways to stay vibrant.  Not only is it beneficial for your overall health in disease mitigation, but exercise supports mental health, reduces the risk of falls, and helps promote cognitive function.  Schedule walks with your loved one to catch up on your lives and share memories.  Review activities offered at the community where a loved one resides, and together, select some of your interests, like yoga, Tai Chi, or tennis.
