The Subtle Dangers of Eating Solo
By CarePatrol
Gretchen Kenney’s grandmother was losing a significant amount of weight in a short period of time. According to Kenney, “Part of it was her health, her arthritis; she couldn’t get around very easily. She was just depressed and didn’t want to eat.,”
It was a scary time for them as “she lost like 40 pounds, she just stopped eating.” In fact, it was so much weight loss that she and her husband David decided to have her move in with them in Shoreline, Washington, and it was not long before her grandmother regained some of the weight she had so drastically lost.
Kenney is grateful for the positive change. “I make sure that she gets a much better balance,” and says, “Given what she wants, she would be happy with sweets and carbohydrates. She will ask for vegetables mostly because she thinks she should have them.”
